I LOVE this project, I just couldn’t wait to share it with you!
I was asked to be a guest blogger at WorldwideScrapbookingEtc. They have a great blog with lots of adorable projects, so it was an honor!
The project was a Christmas card! I was provided Queen & co shaker foam window shape and toppings in white. I love making shaker cards, they’re so much fun!
Since the theme is Christmas, a beautiful winter scene outside of Santa’s house would be perfect! Here’s the card:
I used Avery Elle’s ‘North Pole Pals’ stamps and dies to create the adorable reindeer and Lawn Fawn’s ‘Home for the Holidays’ set for the trees in the background.
To assemble, I traced the window frame onto Christmas themed paper (Doodlebug Designs) and cut it out. I lay that face down on the table, applied double sided tape to the back, then the clear acetate sheet on top of that. I peeled the backing off the foam window and placed that face down on top of the acetate.
Now the windows could be filled without the “snow” falling out.
Using snowflake patterned paper on top and glitter on the bottom, I arranged my winter scene on an A2 card base. I added the trees and those adorable reindeer!
I filled the windows with Queen & co’s toppings, and adhered the card base to the window frame. The card looked great but still didn’t seem quite finished! A quick addition of a sentiment and cute polka dot border strip, and that was that!
Don’t you just love the sound of shaker cards!
Thanks for looking!
