Heidi Swapp Cricut Cut Files – Selfie!

Like most other crafters, I love Heidi Swapp’s handwriting! She’s made a huge business based on her loopy, fun caligraphy. So when I came across ‘Heidi Swapp Font, Phrases & Icons‘ when browsing through the Cricut subscription I was super excited to work with it!

For my first project I decided to mash up ‘Selfie’ with an old school Polaroid photo shape. My girls aren’t much into selfies (yet!) but we do take them together sometimes. I’ll use this cut on an upcoming layout of us taking fun selfies.

Here’s what the cut file I created looks like in Design Space:

I simply inserted a basic rectangle, a square inside of it, then welded the ‘Selfie’ to the inside of the frame. Simple!

Feel free to download this file here.

*Please keep in mind that if you have not purchased this cartridge, you will not be able to use this cut file*

I cut out a few in white cardstock so I could play around with different colour combos.

Here’s what I came up with!

You can’t use a Heidi Swapp font without adding some gold!

For a fun selfie! I used DCVW paper and Doodlebug stickers for this one.

Heat embossed with green powder, for a fun textured effect and some Doodlebug stickers!

Some rainbow letters matched with a rainbow washi border.

Thanks for looking and if you create using this cut file, please share your creations in the comments below!

    • Hi Dayna, I use Cricut Design Space, when i click on ‘insert images’ and search for Heidi Swapp, the image files are all there. You can purchase them individually. I searched for the cartridge on the Cricut website and came up empty.

The cartridge is called ‘Heidi Swapp Font, Phrases and Icons’.

      Hope that helps!

  1. I am a basic cricut user with a cricut expression, the one in aqua which came out 5 or 6 years ago. I did just buy the cricut cartridge you were talking about, before I even saw your post! I am dying to use the “selfie” design, but have never hooked up my cricut to a computer. Is there any other software you need to buy?

    • With the Cricut Expression you can use the cartridge directly on the Cricut. The expression uses computer software called “Cricut Craft Room” which does give you more design options than using the cricut directly, but is not necessary.

      Hope that helps!
