Halloween Project Life cards + Cricut cut file

I love Doodlebug’s Boos & Brews collections! It’s great for traditional layouts but I wanted some Project Life cards made from this collection as well!

These are the cards I made using Boos & Brews:

Here’s how I made them:

In Cricut Design Space I created a 3 x 4 inch rectangle with rounded corners using Cricut Font and Basic Shapes. I use that as my base for all my project life cards.

I created another file for the Halloween cards. I designed the cards using the same basic rectangle, creating a second smaller rectangle to go inside of one of the others.

The ‘Spooktacular’ is from A Frightful Affair and the spider is from Designers Calendar.

I worked the Cricut magic and created these images.

I cut them out on patterned purple paper from the collection. I cut the background papers from the first, basic rectangle.

*I find it’s easiest to make the background rectangle sightly smaller so I don’t have to worry too much about the edges lining up perfectly.

I loved the way the ‘Spooktacular’ looked but it needed some pizzaz! (in other words…glitter!)

I used a paintbrush to brush white glue along the spooktacular and sprinkled it with Recollections purple glitter. I shook off the excess and it looked great!

With the second card, it was separated into 2 pieces, so needed to be adhered to the background paper before I could do much else.

Once the cards were assembled, I used the icon sticker sheet and odds & ends to decorate them. I love the way they turned out!

Here are the cut files for both the basic rectangle and the spider ones! Feel free to use them for personal use!
